With more length and moderate width, mid-length boards are optimised for early take-off. You can find a detailed advice article including a test of some products HERE. In addition to the hardboard, manufacturer Duotone is now launching an inflatable version - the Skybrid Air. Duotone claims to have placed particular emphasis on a flat rocker line for early take-off. This should make the board particularly suitable for typical freeride and light wind conditions. A large and stiff carbon plate has been installed in the tail area, on which the foil can be mounted and into which a carrying handle has also been integrated.
The Duotone Skybrid Air is now available in three sizes - 5'8''x22'' (85 litres), 5'10''x23'' (100 litres) and a larger version with 6'0''x23.5'' (115 litres). For 999 euros, the board comes with a matching bag, a pump and three foot straps are also included.
