Inflatable foil boards ("inflatables") are popular, but apart from the pack size, such models are usually not significantly cheaper than hardboards. The Austrian manufacturer flyFoil has now launched a model in two sizes, which is comparatively inexpensive at a price of 796 euros.

The flyFoil model is available in the sizes 5'3 and 6'3 with volumes of 95 and 135 litres, which are said to have been developed in cooperation with the foil manufacturer Levitaz. There is also a position for footstraps on deck, and a large soft deck should ensure a secure footing.
In the underwater hull, flyFoil uses a carbon plate to achieve a rigid connection between the foil and the board. To prevent the board from sticking to the water during the planing phase, a tear-off edge has been glued to the tail to ensure better water release.
