Ensis is also launching the Jive, a mid-length board for wingfoiling. The design is intended to combine early take-off with good control and is suitable for freeriding, carving and racing. With various sizes, Ensis is targeting experienced wingfoilers through to professionals.

Ensis is launching the Jive, a new mid-length board for wingfoilers. According to the manufacturer, the board is designed for wingfoil freeriding, carving and racing with small foils. Also for Parawingen and downwinders, the Jive should be suitable. With its length between compact wingboards and downwinders, Ensis promises an early take-off with good control at the same time. The board is aimed at foilers with some experience up to pro level.

"Compared to traditional boardshapes, the Jive allows you to use a smaller wing or a smaller foil in the same wind conditions," promises Ensis. The volume concentrated in the centre ensures a stable stance, while the front area is slightly recessed so that the rider stands parallel to the foil: "This lowers the centre of gravity, improves control and ensures direct and intuitive steering." The wide stance also offers plenty of space for the ideal placement of the feet right up to the rails for "powerful carving and radical turns."

Mid-length concept for versatile use

The Ensis Jive is based on the experience gained with the Waltz and Rock'n'Roll models. Despite its longer length, the board should feel compact and offer a high degree of manoeuvrability. This is achieved through an ideal volume distribution that minimises swing weight, according to the manufacturer's press release. According to Ensis, the streamlined shape and steep rails make it possible to build up speed effortlessly and take off quickly. The pintail design contributes to fast acceleration and allows efficient pumping.

In light wind conditions, the Ensis Jive takes off early, the volume distribution and nose rocker prevent the nose from dipping and ensure a quick rebound for touchdowns, the Swiss promise. The Ensis Jive is optimised for use in waves, especially in the 46-litre version, with a wider tail for more stability when paddling and launching. The rounder rails at the front enable smooth touchdowns and easy take-offs. The Jive comes in a total of four sizes: 46, 72, 86 and 100 litres.
