Novelty: Naish Hover Ascend Wingfoilboards with new shapes

Manufacturer Naish is launching a new board model for wingfoiling for the new 2024 season - the Naish Hover Ascend. Compared to the previous model ( HERE there's a test), the new product is said to have been heavily revised. Although the outline is still relatively similar, the designers have made massive changes to the underwater hull in particular."The bottom curve has become significantly flatter"explains Patrick Supper from the distributor Kailua Sports."The waterline is longer and the trailing edge in the tail is sharper to significantly reduce drag in the planing phase. As a result, you take off much earlier with the new boards than before"Supper explains the main innovations.

The manufacturer also claims to have worked on the thickness curve: The Naish Hover Ascend is now slightly wider and thinner, and the lower stance position should make the boards more stable in the water. The Hover Ascend boards are still built using a carbon sandwich construction, while the smaller sizes of 72 litres and smaller have also been reinforced to meet the needs of freestylers. Keyword "sizes": The Hover Ascend model will be available in ten sizes from 42 to 142 litres in volume and will cost between 1299 and 1699 euros, depending on the size.
