Tried out: Wing- & SUP-Board for 699 Euro
"Wing" will be THE trend in 2021, all the experts agree :-) While experts are of course already flying high on a foil, beginners can also cruise across the lake on a SUP. Sufficient wind so that the wing flies on its own and doesn't need to be held up and a centre fin in the board are the minimum requirements, however. As with this set.

The "Paddleboard" brand is currently offering the package (without the wing pictured!) with an additional centre fin and otherwise fully equipped with paddle, leash and other useful accessories at a special price of 699 euros.
The board has already proven itself several times in SUP tests as a successful all-rounder. The additional fin box is divided into two parts so that the board can still be easily rolled in for packing.
We have already been able to try out the set briefly, and with enough wind you can gain a lot of initial experience with the Wing. We would prefer to fit a slightly larger fin in the centre US box, which experience has shown reduces drift noticeably.
Our tip for beginners:Start off kneeling, but then stand up quickly to keep on course and steer. A tack (the bow turns through the wind) is particularly difficult, so it's better to turn with the stern through the wind - and you've already made your first jibe. The board is sufficiently stable for riding with the wing, the standing position slightly behind the centre is optimal. One thing's for sure: if you're confident on the lake, you'll want a foil next!

Our tip:We wouldn't recommend the board exclusively for wing riding - because a wing actually belongs on a special foil board. However, it is a good option for trying out, practising and getting used to a wing, which boards without an additional fin do not offer. And the board as a SUP always remains a versatile all-rounder, both for longer tours and as a fun board for short distances. The equipment and accessories are extensive and practical.
