With the Futurama Fusion model, Norden Surfboards has a new mid-length board for a wide range of foil disciplines in its programme.

With the Futurama Fusion Norden Surfboards presents a mid-length foil board that has been specifically developed for use in various foil disciplines. According to the manufacturer, the shape combines "Construction features from surf, wing and downwind foil boards and is suitable for wingfoiling as well as prone, SUP or parawing."

The foil-forward trim is designed to enable efficient pumping behaviour, while the narrower outline gives the board a playful turning ability. "The take-off"the manufacturer promises, The "take-off" is early and controlled - supported by the slightly rounded, concave nose and tail area. Landings are also correspondingly soft. The board is therefore aimed at advanced users who value a versatile setup and comfortable riding behaviour."

According to the manufacturer, the carbon hybrid sandwich construction consists of a mix of carbon and biaxial glass fibre laminates, combined with a bamboo veneer in the stand area. This combination of materials should ensure a balanced ratio of weight, rigidity and durability - at an attractive price of 1349 euros. The Norden Futurama Fusion Board is currently available in one size - 6'0'' x 22'' with a volume of 95 litres. However, further sizes are being planned.

Manuel Vogel, born in 1981, lives in Kiel and learned to windsurf at the age of six at his father's surf school. In 1997, he completed his training as a windsurfing instructor and worked for over 15 years as a windsurfing instructor in various centers, at Kiel University sports and in the coaching team of the “Young Guns” freestyle camps.
