Having a separate board in the quiver for each discipline not only means high costs, but also logistical effort when transporting it to the spot. With the Chimera, Naish now offers a board that can do it all. The compact all-round foil board has been specially developed for crossover riders who want to cover wing, surf, downwind and tow-in with just one board. The approach: maximum versatility without compromising on performance in the individual disciplines.
According to the manufacturer, the design of the Chimera follows the principle of "less is more". The board is characterised by a narrow outline and a two-stage rocker. This combination should ensure an early lift and smooth tracking on the water. Particularly striking is the central positioning of the foil box, which is designed to give the board balance in all riding situations. According to Naish, this means that the Chimera remains stable and controllable even during turns, touchdowns or planing at high speed. Thanks to its low swing weight, it reacts particularly agile once you are in the air - a decisive advantage for dynamic manoeuvres, according to the promise.
The strength of the Naish Chimera is said to lie in its adaptability to different conditions. The deck angle and compact shape give the board a surf-like feel with direct control. According to Naish, the stability during touchdowns is particularly noteworthy - the board should also remain stable in the water when bobbing. This characteristic also makes the board interesting for beginners and advanced foilers who want to expand their skills in various disciplines.
According to the manufacturer, the Naish Chimera is aimed at riders who want to progress quickly and maximise their freedom on the water. Whether wing-foiling on light wind days, surf-foiling in the waves or downwind-foiling over longer distances. The Chimera is even suitable for tow-in sessions thanks to its stable riding characteristics and reactive handling.
The Naish Chimera comes in ten sizes from 4'6" with 38 litres to 7'0" with 148 litres. All information at naish.com
