Core has long been a big player in kitesurfing, and now the North German manufacturer wants to step on the gas in wingsurfing too. A complete product range has now been launched to match.
The Wing XC model is manufactured to the highest industry standards and is available in a total of nine sizes from 2.5 to 7.0 square metres (869 to 1129 euros). The manufacturer wants to maximise the range of use, which should include relaxed freeriding as well as freestyle tricks or excursions into the waves. For the grip system, Core relies on mini booms, similar to those used on the Duotone Unit were installed.
The Wing comes without a leash, but for an extra charge of 39.90 or 49.90 a hand or hip leash is optionally available. The manufacturer claims to have placed particular emphasis on low-stretch materials and the robustness of the Dacron.
With the Roamer board model (1799 euros), Core also wants to serve a broad target group, from beginners to cracks. The model will therefore be available in five sizes with volumes of 55/70/90/110 and 130 litres. The board is built using stiff and high-quality carbon sandwich technology, which should ensure a direct ride and long-lasting riding fun.
When distributing the volume, the focus was therefore on achieving the best possible balance. The extra-long US box rail system with a rail spacing of 90 millimetres should be compatible with almost all foils available on the market and offer maximum flexibility to adjust the foil position according to personal preference.
The wingfoil range is rounded off with the Spectrum foil model. This will be available with five different front wing sizes (950/1250/1550/1850 & 2150 cm2). The 300 stabiliser and the 70 cm fuselage will be compatible with all sizes. Core also offers four different mast lengths of 60, 70, 80 and 90 centimetres. Each Spectrum front wing has a medium aspect ratio, which should provide the ideal balance of performance and control. The manufacturer claims to have customised the profile thickness for each wing size.
The Spectrum Foil sets are available for 1499 euros. Further information on all products is also available HERE on the manufacturer's website. We will also be trying out the Wingfoil products from Core soon, and you can of course read objective tests here on our website.
