GunSails is launching three new wing models for the 2027 season. According to the manufacturer, the Hy-Wing Fluo is aimed at beginners and those moving up to the next level, the Omega covers the all-round segment, whilst the top-of-the-range Omega Pro is designed for ambitious wingfoilers. The three models differ primarily in their choice of materials and construction. Whilst the Fluo prioritises durability and ease of use, the Omega Pro focuses on maximum performance, explains GunSails.
Fluo as the entry-level model, Omega as the all-round platform
The Fluo rounds off GunSails’ new wing range as an entry-level model. According to the manufacturer, the wing is designed for beginners and those moving up the ranks. It features two large handles and offers an intuitive riding experience, is forgiving of mistakes and ensures hassle-free riding fun. The Fluo is available in five sizes ranging from 2.0 to 6.0 square metres and costs between 499.00 and 579.00 euros
The GunSails Hy-Wing Omega is undergoing a complete redesign for 2027. The so-called O-Frame system, featuring a slimmer strut, and the revised geometry form the basis of the design. GunSails states that the aerodynamics have been optimised to improve efficiency and handling. The wing is aimed at wingfoil riders seeking a balance between performance and versatility. The “Ride & Hook” system allows tool-free switching between handles and boom; neither is included in the package. The Omega is positioned between the entry-level Fluo wing and the high-performance Omega Pro variant, and is available in ten sizes ranging from 2.0 to 6.5 square metres. Prices start at €599.00 and go up to €710.00.
Omega Pro with high-performance design
The top-of-the-range model in the new range is the Omega Pro. For the first time, it utilises a combination of 175 LL Dacron and U-PE Black Technora in the central sections of the leading edge. According to the manufacturer, this combination of materials reduces deformation under load and ensures more direct power transmission, faster acceleration and maximum control. The new High Efficiency Frame combines the geometry, the stiff leading edge and the O-Frame system into an efficient unit. Every pump is immediately converted into forward thrust, whilst even the slightest steering inputs are transmitted with precision. P2L Clear Screen Panels are used in the trailing edge area, designed to further stabilise the profile. “With the Omega Pro, we wanted to retain all the strengths of the Omega and make it even more responsive and dimensionally stable using state-of-the-art materials. The result is a wing that responds immediately to every steering input and remains exceptionally precise even under high loads,” explains wing designer Renato Morlotti. Prices start at €699.00 for the 3.5 and go up to €849.00 for the 6.5; a total of seven sizes are available.
