As announced at boot Düsseldorf in January, GunSails is launching a new wing. According to the manufacturer, the HY-Wing Omega took two years to develop and is based on 30 years of sail design experience.
In the Omega, 165 g and 125 g Dacron material was combined in the segmented and multi-layer leading edge construction "to stiffen the centre sections and thus increase the reactivity and performance of the wing", as GunSails explains in the description. "At the same time, it gives the tips more flexibility, which provides more comfort and stability in a wider wind range."
The standard hard handles can be replaced with a carbon boom on request, which is available separately. The HY-Wing Omega is designed to be an all-rounder with comfort and stability for beginners, manoeuvres and waves. The wing is available in five sizes from three to seven square metres, with prices starting at 649.00 euros.

GunSails promises a weight saving of more than four kilos with the HY-Flate Wing Carbon inflatable board. The aluminium plate has been replaced by a carbon version. "The new carbon plate reduces drag to a minimum and significantly increases the stiffness of the board in the standing area," promises GunSails. "This solid platform transfers all the energy to the foil and fits perfectly with all Double US Box Foil Adapters." The board is available in four sizes from 699.00 euros.
Tests of the two new products are already being planned!
