Most people think of monstrous motorbikes when they hear the word "Gold Wing", but RRD has given its new Pro model the same name. The name is obvious, as the Strut and Leading Edge are made from the shimmering golden material Aluula. According to RRD, it should be extra strong and light, making the wing stiffer.
The Gold Wings are being launched in six sizes from 4.0 to 7.2. The outline is identical to the familiar Wind Wings. However, thanks to the new technology, the Gold Wing should have more power, take off earlier and jump higher, especially in light winds. From racing to wave riding to freestyle, it can be used in all disciplines.
