The Naish Hatch V2 has been completely redesigned by the brand with a focus on stability and durability. According to the manufacturer, the revised profile is significantly more robust than that of its predecessor. These design changes are intended, according to the manufacturer, to deliver greater stability, better wind penetration and stronger upwind performance. The Nitinol profile rods are designed to ensure shape retention over the long term. The canopy is made from a stiff, water-repellent nylon material, which is intended to combine ease of handling with durability. The new ergonomic bar improves grip and control, whilst the patented retractable trapeze line system is designed to keep the control area tidy, Naish promises. According to Naish, several new features deliver cleaner handling, easier stowage and more predictable power delivery. The five available sizes cover a wind range of 12 to 45 knots, with the specifications based on a rider weighing 75 kilograms on an 80-litre board.
The Nitinol profile rods represent a key innovation. According to the manufacturer, the material promises exceptional performance, durability and dimensional stability. A water-repellent coating is designed to maintain performance in wet conditions, whilst the stiffer material supports stability and long-lasting shape retention. The ‘ribs’ distribute the load from the lines more efficiently across the wing, allowing for fewer lines whilst maintaining profile stability. The mixed bridle-line setup combines soft UHMWPE A-lines for instant stowage with stiffer, thinner polyester-sheathed lines on the rest of the bridle. According to the manufacturer, this combination reduces tangles and improves aerodynamic efficiency.
Ergonomics and handling

The entire bar is usable, which gives riders more predictable power and depower input across the full range of hand positions. The refined bar ends reduce the risk of the lines becoming tangled. The patented retractable harness line system incorporates a bungee line into the grip. When not in use, the line retracts neatly into the bar, helping to prevent tangles when stowing the bar or riding without a harness. When riding with a harness, it provides riders with a simple and efficient connection point for longer sessions, according to the manufacturer.
