Naish is expanding its wing portfolio with a compact and powerful model for demanding riders. The new Neutron Wing has been developed for surfing, freeriding and downwind foiling. With its low leading edge angle and compact shape, the wing is said to be particularly manoeuvrable and easy to control. At the same time, Naish promises high performance in light winds so that riders can stay on the foil even in weak conditions.
A key focus in the development of the Naish Neutron was focussed on use in the wave. Thanks to its low weight and compact shape, the Neutron should be effortless to flag. According to the manufacturer, this enables smooth riding in all conditions and allows the rider to concentrate fully on the wave.
Despite its compact dimensions, the Neutron Wing is said to offer considerable performance in light winds. According to Naish, the design with an almost straight leading edge ("low dihedral") ensures good power development in the lower wind range. This allows riders to get on the foil early and stay there, even in weaker conditions. This feature makes the Neutron an interesting option for riders who also want to get out on the water on less windy days.
When designing the Neutron, Naish placed great emphasis on easy handling and precise control. The compact shape in combination with the low weight should ensure high manoeuvrability. As a result, the wing can be controlled intuitively and reacts directly to the rider's inputs. These characteristics are particularly useful when surfing, where quick changes of direction and precise timing are required.
Although the Neutron was primarily designed for surfing, Naish says it is also ideal for freeride sessions and downwind foiling. The balance between performance, manoeuvrability and easy handling makes the Wing a versatile all-rounder. The Neutron should be able to show off its strengths when cruising in flat water as well as surfing waves or downwind runs.
The radial panel layout connects the end of the strut to each seam along the leading edge so that the wing should function as a single unit, the manufacturer promises. The Naish Neutron comes in six sizes between 1.6 and 6.0 square metres. The removable carbon boom can be used across the entire range,
