A few days after Ensis a new version of the all-round model Score the Swiss manufacturer is now pushing ahead with the Score Ltd has followed up with another model, which is primarily intended to appeal to performance-orientated wingfoilers. The outline is similar to the Score 3, the difference lies in the use of premium materials, as the manufacturer emphasises: " Aluula Gold and the ultra-light Aluula Aeris are used in the front tube of the Score Ltd. This makes the wing ultra-light and very stiff. However, because the Aluula material has completely different elongation values, the Score Ltd has an adapted profile compared to the standard Score 3 model"
Because Ensis has replaced the conventional material in the front tube area with stiffer Aluula material, the tube can be designed thinner, which should reduce drag and result in higher top speed. The new Score Ltd should also offer advantages when downwinding and wingfoiling in the wave due to its lower weight and be even easier to manoeuvre: "Depending on its size, the Score Ltd is ten to 18 per cent lighter than the Score 3, which doesn't sound huge at first, but the difference you feel on the water is much greater"Karl Müller, Managing Director at Ensis, explains the differences. However, there are also differences in price: while the Score 3 costs between 969 and 1149 euros, depending on the size, the Score Ltd costs between 1899 and 2099, which is almost twice as much.
As with its stablemate Score 3, the manufacturer has also opted for thin, stiff grips on the Ltd model. The Ensis Score Ltd will be available in a total of five sizes - 4.0/4.5/5.2/5.9 and with 6.6 square metres. You can also find more information on the Website of the manufacturer.
