Starboard launches its own wings on the market in 2026. Four models are planned for different areas of use.

Starboard has been active as a water sports brand for over 30 years, has driven numerous innovations in the areas of windsurfing and SUP and has also been producing wingfoil boards and foils for a long time. In 2026, the brand's portfolio is to be expanded with its own wings.

Four Starboard models are planned:

  • Viva: A lightweight all-rounder for a wide range of applications
  • Source: A compact freeride and manoeuvring wing with a short wingspan
  • Reactor: Focus on freestyle and waves thanks to very reactive flight behaviour
  • Bowstring: Race-Wing with patented and powerful design

"This also means that wings from FreeWing, which were previously developed by Starboard in cooperation with Airush, will be history"explains Florian Brunner from APM Sales Germany.

Starboard refers to its own history, in the course of which team rider Clinton Filen tried out the first inflatable wings back in 2011. However, the idea didn't really take off until almost a decade later when it was combined with foils. The new Starboard Wing models are due to be launched on the market in 2026. We will of course tell you how they ride here on the website as soon as they are available.
