GA introduces the Jet, a new high-performance racing wing. The wing combines lightweight materials and aerodynamic design for maximum speed and efficiency in competition use. Its upwind performance and stability at high speeds are particularly impressive.

GA Wings presents the Jet, a new high-end racing wing that has been specially developed for competition use. The wing is designed to offer maximum speed and efficiency thanks to innovative materials and a sophisticated aerodynamic design. The focus is particularly on upwind performance, downwind efficiency and stability at high speeds. The GA Jet is therefore clearly aimed at ambitious competition riders who want to deliver top performance on all courses.

GA Wings Jet: new design for lightness and rigidity

The centrepiece of the new GA Jet is the Ultra 80X UPE laminate construction. This highly modular material is used for the leading edge and strut frame as well as the trailing edge. According to the manufacturer, the material enables exceptional lightness combined with high rigidity. In addition, the tube diameters can be reduced, which minimises air resistance and optimises aerodynamic efficiency. The result is a wing that glides through the air with minimal drag, offering an ultra-stable profile and a "locked-in" feeling across all courses.

GA uses a partial double profile for the aerodynamic performance of the Jet. This consists of a premium VoltNova Triple Ripstop spinnaker material from the renowned manufacturer Teijin. GA promises precise aerodynamics and constant power delivery. The high-quality sailcloth is said to ensure excellent profile stability, while the Ultra 80X Trailing Edge additionally reduces stretch and optimises the aerodynamic profile for ultimate control and stability even at high speeds.

Designed for upwind efficiency and downwind control

In terms of outline, the GA Jet favours a more rectangular shape and a higher aspect ratio. This should enable maximum efficiency and superior upwind angles without compromising on speed and control on downwind courses. Four tapered carbon battens are used to support the profile shape. These should ensure an even airflow and a refined profile shape in all racing situations.

The GA Jet is equipped with a so-called Pistol Grip Boom for good handling. This is designed to provide a secure grip. The dismountable construction also makes it easy to transport without compromising on rigidity and control during intensive racing. GA Wings promises that the Jet Racing Wing is designed to give racing sailors the decisive advantage, whether they are tacking into the wind, sailing a space sheet course or jibing around the turning mark.

The GA Jet comes in six sizes from 4.0 to 6.8 square metres, further information is available at ga-foils.com
