Alizé - this model name refers to the trade winds that blow in the Caribbean. The Wing is available in four sizes from 3.0 to 6.0 square metres and is designed as an all-rounder.
At 879 euros, the Tahe Alizé Wing 5.0 is in the lower price segment. Fortunately, this is not reflected in the scope of delivery - in addition to a rucksack, leash and repair kit, a suitable pump is also included. With a measured wingspan of 343 centimetres, the Tahe Alizé Wing is quite stretched. The wingtips bend sharply and are kept narrow, while the centre strut is longer than on many other models. Tahe uses two mini booms for the grip system, which allow the hands to be moved sideways. In this way, the grip is always perfectly positioned at the pressure point, regardless of body size and weight, which enables an even distribution of tension on both arms and a relaxed grip. The fact that this wing doesn't have a window is one thing, but we certainly wouldn't have been the only ones who would have appreciated a printed indication of the inflation pressure (recommendation 7-7.5 psi).

The Tahe Alizé Wing is well-balanced in the hand when starting off, and the bent wingtips give you a pleasing amount of ground clearance when pumping - the problem of the wingtips dragging excessively in the water when pumping hardly occurs with this wing. Keyword "pumping": The Alizé 5.0 doesn't develop any bear forces when ridden passively without pumping and requires a little more physical effort. But then the damped wing loads up well so that you can quickly reach the required take-off speed. Once in the air, the mini-booms allow you to move your hands with millimetre precision in order to have the pressure point exactly between your hands and to make relaxed turns with evenly distributed pull. Keeping an eye on the space downwind is more difficult with the Tahe Wing, as the wing has no window and covers a fairly wide sector with its long centre strut - before initiating manoeuvres, the wing should therefore be folded up briefly and the free space downwind checked.
The Tahe Alizé can be steered very directly in manoeuvres, the handles transmit every steering and turning impulse perfectly to the wing and allow intuitive gripping even for beginners. If you let the wing fly behind you, e.g. when riding small swells, it balances itself out quite well. Only when riding downwind does the trailing edge of the wing drop a little earlier than with other models due to the rather long centre line. Thanks to its fairly light overall weight in combination with a rather flat leading edge, the Alizé Wing is also a lot of fun to trick.
For a fair price, the Tahe Alizé is a well-equipped wing that does not belong to the absolute top class in terms of lightness, light wind power or neutrality, but also has no weaknesses. The range of use and target group are correspondingly large and make the wing absolutely recommendable from beginners to ambitious manoeuvring fans.
