With the Aura X3, Vayu is launching an update of the all-round wing on the market. The most striking changes: Reduced drag and an improved grip system.

The Aura X played in the league of the lightest wings on the market right from the start. In the meantime, manufacturer Vayu has reached version three and this time, too, the Wing is said to have been further developed in key details.

The diameter of the front tube has been reduced by around ten per cent, meaning that the wing should offer less drag and therefore a higher top speed. Handling in manoeuvres is also said to have been significantly improved by this measure. This is made possible by the very high-quality Aluula Aeris material, which is stiff enough to give the wing a taut frame despite the thinner front tube. Included with the Vayu Aura X3 is a carbon boom, which simply clicks into place and can now be used for all sizes from 3.5 to 5.5 square metres. If you only use wings in this size range, you can get by with just one boom; an additional boom would only be required for the two sizes 6.0 and 6.5 square metres. However, if you prefer to use short handles, you can also replace the boom with handles.

However, the general orientation of the wing has not changed: with its fast profile and flat leading edge, the Vayu Aura X3 should be particularly suitable for downwinding, freeriding and racing. You will soon be able to find out how the new product rides here on the website - a test will follow shortly.
