Naish launches an update of the all-rounder ADX, which has been fundamentally revised (HERE is the test of the predecessor model). The new model has been given significantly more profile depth, which should ensure a smoother flight behaviour and more light wind power. The arrangement of the seams has also been adapted, and the ADX now has a flawless appearance and even cloth tension. Naish still relies on two fixed handles for the grip system, but these are now significantly longer so that the new wing can also be flown one-handed. The grips are also pleasantly comfortable to hold thanks to the non-slip coating and thin diameter. The ADX Wing is ventilated via two insulated SUP valves on the front tube and strut. The scope of delivery includes a rucksack and a leash. The new Naish ADX Wing is available in eleven sizes between 2.0 and 7.0 square metres and in three colour variants.
The changes described above have an immediate effect, the new Naish ADX Wing is much smoother in the hand than its predecessor and provides an even lift. It is now easier to inflate, especially if the inflation pressure is orientated towards the lower end of the recommended range (approx. 7 psi). Once lifted, the wing stabilises excellently, lies comfortably in both hands with a pleasant tension distribution and is calm when foiling. The thin handles enable effortless gripping and very direct contact with the wing, so that steering impulses are transmitted immediately. The windows offer a reasonable view to leeward, but you have to fly the wing quite low to catch a glimpse to leeward. Whilst the Wing is not one of the lightest models on the scales, the new ADX is still pleasantly light in the hand on the water. Especially when manoeuvring to leeward, the Wing flies neutrally, the trailing edge fortunately does not tend to sink early but remains upright. The new model only appears slightly less agile during jumps and freestyle tricks, but flips and rotations are still possible without any problems.
The new Naish ADX Wing is now much more balanced and has made significant gains in terms of light wind power and flight stability. The manoeuvre handling remains at a high level and the suitability for downwinders is also impeccable, making the wing a perfect all-rounder. Only those who value maximum agility and freestyle at a high level are likely to weep a tear for the predecessor model - however, the Neutron model is to be launched in spring 2025 especially for this target group.
