Long Distance: 51st long distance race Eckernförde to Damp - registration is open

As early as 1973, seven windsurfers had the idea for a race from Eckernförde to Damp - the Langschlag was born. The legendary race will take place again in 2023, for the 51st time. However, terms such as "race" or "regatta" are actually inappropriate, as the Langschlag is primarily intended to be a fun event that emphasises togetherness.

Anyone who dares to tackle the 22 kilometre route from Eckernförde to Damp can register now. Depending on the wind direction, either the route Eckernförde - Damp or Damp - Eckernförde will be surfed. The DLRG will ensure the safety of the event and will accompany the entire race. After arrival, the traditional kale meal will be served at theLucifer in Eckernförde and those who have successfully surfed also receive their prize there - an engraved brass bone.

Registration for the 51st Langschlag is still open until 24 October 2023. You can take part for 30 euros, young people pay 20 euros as an entry fee (note: this does not include the meal at the Luzifer!).
