The autumn edition of the Prince of Speed in the south of France was actually only supposed to run until 1 September to 15 October. But because the mild start to autumn did not provide enough wind for records and best times on the speed strip, the stand-by phase was extended. On 3 November, the conditions were finally right and the ISCW Grand Prix got underway. Two heats with two runs each were included in the final classification.
However, one of the top favourites, Antoine Albeau, was not there, as the 25-time world champion was already on his way to Namibia for the Lüderitz Speed Challenge. The Germans Thomas Moldenhauer, Christian Bornemann and Thorsten Luig were also unable to make it to the south of France. This cleared the way for Vincent Valkenaers from Belgium, who dominated all heats and was the only one to break 40 knots. His top speed was 42.692 knots.
Behind him was worldcupper Cedric Bordes, who arrived at the last minute and had to leave before the award ceremony. Third place went to Pascal Boulanger, who had the heaviest crash of the event, ahead of freestyler Sam Esteve in fourth place.
