The season finale of the German Windsurf Cup will take place next weekend in Heiligenhafen. Various junior classes will also come together for the GWA Youth & Junior Championship
The GWA Youth & Junior Championship will also take place next weekend as part of the California Windsurf Cup in Heiligenhafen. The event area is moving from the pier to the meadow at Steinwarder.

At its debut last year, the pier in Heiligenhafen not only provided a magnificent backdrop for the German Windsurf Cup, but also the best view for spectators. However, as space on the beach is limited there, this year the event is moving to the Drachenwiese on Steinwarder, where the main spot in Heiligenhafen is also located. The new location was chosen due to the steady growth of the event, according to organiser Choppy Water: "The Drachenwiese not only offers enough space for the paddock, material storage and catering, but also for the numerous partners and the event stage." There will be a party there every evening - on Thursday, former DWC rider Alexander Wilken will play a "unique combination of live saxophone and DJ set", and there will also be live music and DJs on the other evenings.

The season finale of the German Windsurf Cup will take place on the water from 29 August to 1 September. The main focus will be on Jonne Heimann, who is leading in the foil slalom, the fin slalom and the overall standings. However, top riders such as Vincent Langer and Fabian Wolf in particular could still pose a threat to him, with a total of 50 participants registered.

The GWA Youth & Junior Championship 2024 will also be held as part of the California Windsurf Cup Heiligenhafen. "For the first time, the German Windsurfing Association (GWA) is offering a joint championship for all young windsurfers. In addition to the funboarders, athletes from the pre-Olympic classes iQFOiL Youth & Junior, Techno Windfoil and the Techno 293 youth class are also expressly invited," emphasise the organisers. In the run-up to the event, the starters will have the opportunity to Camp by Dennis Müller prepare for the regatta.
