A feast for Finn fans: The Multivan Windsurf Cup on Sylt kicked off with two eliminations and close races. Gunnar Asmussen took the first victory, Vincent Langer won the second race.

After many light wind events with foil dominance, the Finns were once again the order of the day on the first day of the WIndsurf Cup on Sylt. Two complete eliminations were held off Westerland in decent winds, with a total of almost 30 riders at the start. As is typical on Sylt, the shore break on Brandenburg beach was a challenge that should not be underestimated.

In the first final, Gunnar Asmussen and Vincent Langer fought a close duel for victory. Despite all of Langer's attempts to overtake, Asmussen crossed the finish line first and secured the prize money for the first win of the event. Behind him, a very strong Anton Richter finished in third place ahead of Dutchman Koen Hessels and Fabian Wolf.
