It is not known how many surfers start the new surfing season each spring with a complete breakdown because the zip of their board bag has corroded during the long winter months and stubbornly refuses to release the treasure in the bag. In view of the white foam crowns, patience is not enough to solve the problem in a timely manner - only sheer force will do. If such intact bags have ended up in the bin sooner or later, Fixn Zip could now be the solution - broken zips can be repaired in a matter of minutes and completely without tools.
We have tried out this promising gadget. You can see how it works in the picture gallery - take a look!
A very good idea that works for the most part - not only for board bags, but for all metal and plastic zips. However, there are limitations if the size of the slide used does not fit. For one of our boardbags, the largest available size (L) was already at its limit. In any case, you should measure the width of the closed zip in advance in order to buy the right sled: The size is often written on the back, just check the old sled!
Fixn Zip is available in several sizes:
Fixn Zip is available for around ten euros from the US manufacturer's online shop www.fixnzip.com
