Balz Müller caused quite a stir with his new move at the World Cup in Fuerteventura. We show the table top backloop step by step in the sequence!

Balz Müller is now not only one of the most innovative tricksters in the surfing cosmos with his windsurfer freestyler - whether with foil or fin - but also with his wing. With it, the young father spins like a humming top. At the Windsurf Freestyle World Cup in Fuerte, he had a bucket list of new moves that he wanted to work through.

And in his second heat, he presented the astonished spectators with a world first: his table top backloop in the Sotavento microwave earned him the respect of the competition and a whopping nine out of ten points from the judges. Balz certainly had a lot of fun with his show.

He first jumps a clean table top, with the underside of the board pointing perfectly upwards. As he pulls the tail back under his body after the apex, he initiates the rotation for the backloop. We can't wait to see when the next rider will be able to pull off this move - and when the next manoeuvre from the bucket list will follow!
