Jibing & Waveriding: Windsurfing camps with Nick Spangenberg in Hvide Sande

In the Danish windsurfing paradise of Hvide Sande, Nick Spangenberg is organising windsurfing camps on a stand-by basis until 3 September. The clinics take place spontaneously depending on the forecast and are confirmed by a circular email two days in advance. The reigning U-20 runner-up in the world wave championship is working closely with the local WestWind North and South surf school.
Nick's clinics focus either on power jibes and duck jibes or on getting into the wave. "I have the feeling that many surfers need someone to take them out on the North Sea and take away their fears," says Spangenberg. The wave clinics teach safe surfing in the surf and theoretical sessions explain important issues such as the correct behaviour in the wash.

Optimal learning conditions in Hvide Sande
Nick also offers rigging seminars, where he checks the equipment and passes on tips and tricks on rigging and trim.
Hvide Sande on the Danish west coast is the perfect starting point for this. The area offers optimal freeride conditions with a large standing area on the Ringkøbing Fjord, as well as excellent wave conditions with south and north-westerly wind directions on the North Sea.
