DSV squad surfer Jonne Heinemann (GER-107, JP, Neil Pryde) in second place and talented youngster Meno Büchler (GER-91, Starboard, Severne) in third place completed the podium. The reigning Multivan Windsurf Cup champion Michele Becker from Kiel, who is currently contesting his first season with the equipment of his new sponsor Patrik Windsurfing, won three of the four races. He only allowed himself one small slip-up during the third final and still achieved the ideal score of 2.1 points thanks to the strike.
In Ahlbeck, the best rookie (newcomer) was also honoured in addition to the youth categories: Steffen Bremerich (GER-183, FMX Racing, Severne) won this award.
Jonne Heimann won the U21 classification, ahead of Leo Richter (GER-9, JP, Neil Pryde) and Felix Wehkamp (GER-247, Fanatic, Duotone). Meno Büchler won the Youth U19 category ahead of Anton Richter (GER-6, JP, Neil Pryde) and Keno Recke (GER-10, Patrik Windsurfing). The best Junior U17 was Erik Wehkamp (GER-240, Fanatic, Duotone).
The first race during the Multivan Windsurf Cup in Ahlbeck was a particularly interesting one, as LVM Versicherung decided to honour the best three riders separately: With a prize worth a total of 1,000 euros. After the first race, Michele Becker secured 500 euros, Meno Büchler 300 euros and Kai Paustian 200 euros in prize money.
The large supporting and party programme in Ahlbeck was also impressive.
In addition to the evening parties in front of the concert shell, visitors were able to take part in free yoga sessions during the day, for example, or shop at a wide variety of stalls at the neighbouring market as part of the event. Well worth a visit.
