After the crisp wind on Saturday afternoon, the last day of the Surf Festival 2023 was a little more leisurely, but there were still perfect conditions for numerous windsurfers and wingers who were on the water in front of the south beach. Torsten Schulze from "Freiluft GmbH", co-organiser of the surf festival alongside surf Magazin, was delighted with the 40,000 visitors over the four days of the festival, while around 1450 testers had also registered and were out on the water with the latest equipment from the manufacturers
Enthusiastic testers continued to swarm the event on Sunday. Many exhibitors were very satisfied and enthusiastic about the interest shown by windsurfers:
The weather was perfect, great wind, especially on Saturday. Our hut was burnt down, we had almost everything on the water! People also showed a lot of interest, many people wanted to try out technical things and had clear ideas. The conditions couldn't have been better, a little less wind at first, then quite strong in the afternoon, so that everything could be tried out. The course is also super, great atmosphere, super cool! It's my first time here, I can understand that it's the biggest festival in the world. The people are in a good mood, and at the same time it's a little Woodstock at the beach camp, people also come to party, this combo is really good!

Very cool, it's great fun, I've been here since Thursday. I'm a beginner and I'm just learning to glide, so it was great for me to be able to test lots of freeride boards here to see how I get on with them. The festival is great, the atmosphere in the evenings is good!
Jonas
We are super happy, we had almost all the equipment on the water yesterday. It was rarely so full, people were in a good mood and very interested!
Sören Siebeck, JP-Australia/NeilPryde
A great festival! A little cooler, but great wind conditions and committed testers. Everyone was in a good mood, great atmosphere. The supporting programme was also great, we always enjoy coming here.
Jörg Müller, GunSails
This is my third time here, the weather is great, the atmosphere is relaxed, a very colourful crowd
Neele
We are super satisfied, all sports could be tried out and the testers were very interested! The exhibitors were also delighted - it couldn't have been better!
