Hot off the press for the surf festival: the new surf will be published on 17 May, packed as always with tests, spot guides and types. What you can expect in the magazine.

Spring is slowly but surely coming - just in time for the surf festival on Fehmarn, where you can test all kinds of new equipment and much more from 18 to 21 May. There's a big preview of all the highlights in the magazine, and you can also find the most important programme items in our Festival overview ! Come by, you will find the surf stand on the beach next to the stage!

We tested seven freemoving sails on Tobago and in local waters! This group is said to offer the best all-rounders, combining excellent manoeuvring characteristics with power. The boundaries between powerwave sails and freeriders are permeable, so that there are definitely different characteristics in the sails. Find out which all-rounder covers the widest range of use for flat water, manoeuvres and waves in the test. All the sails that are included, you can already watch in our sneak preview!

We take you on two trips to the north: While our story of the Lofoten Islands captivates with its impressive images and reflects a true pioneering spirit, the Spot Guide South Sweden might be good for a holiday suggestion or two. The Baltic coast around Malmö is peppered with brilliant spots for all target groups and is ideal for a family holiday. And it's not even that far to travel. Locals Kristoffer Living and Robert Almquist introduce you to the best corners of their homeland!

She is always at the forefront and always in a good mood. High time to introduce Sarah-Quita Offringa in more detail. Because the windsurfing queen collects world championship titles like Dunkerbeck once did and has dominated women's windsurfing for more than ten years. She is always ready to go one better. But at the age of 31, she doesn't know how she can still do it all. Decisions have to be made - she tells us all about it in Mart Kuperij's interview!

Tobi is our digital man, he looks after the surf website and social media channels and gets on everyone's nerves every morning by asking for more pictures and videos. His surfing CV includes all the famous choppy water spots: As a teenager, he went from his home in Münsterland to the Ijsselmeer or the Brouwersdam, and during his civilian service on Sylt, after countless washes on the west side, the Königshafen became his preferred spot. After studying in Kiel and Heidkate, he was supposed to go to Hamburg “only for a short time”, but this short time has lasted for over ten years and has made him a “weekend warrior”. He goes on tour with his family and camper van as often as possible, often to the Baltic Sea, SPO or Denmark, but also likes to go to Finland, Sweden or Sardinia.
