The Challenger also has the tried and tested ProLimit features: The fastening system clicks into place in seconds and is easy to operate, the buckles are covered by a neoprene cover on the side of the body. The Challenger model is comfortably padded in the lumbar spine and seat area. The shell in the back area is made of plastic and not, as you might expect from the look, carbon fibre. This makes the hard shell firm, but not completely rigid. When hooked in, the forces are distributed very comfortably and we didn't notice any annoying pressure points during our short test session. However, we found the freedom of movement of the legs to be somewhat restricted, for example when you want to get your legs on the board for a water start.
The Challenger offers very good support for the back with average freedom of movement. If you like to hang from a camber sail and feel back pain at the sight of thin racing trousers, this is a good alternative. However, the harness should fit your body shape well to avoid pressure points. We therefore recommend trying it on in the shop!
