The first period of the Dunkerbeck Speed Challenge 2023 has been completed. Heidi Ulrich and Vincent Valkenaers are leading the rankings and have each set new world records.

The Dunkerbeck Speed Challenge is divided into three sections, with the first period ending on 31 May. Swiss speed queen Heidi Ulrich (43.91 knots) and Vincent Valkenaers from Belgium (49.30 knots) are ahead in the intermediate classification over 250 metres. Both also set new world records over 500 metres on open water and on the nautical mile - which was the focus of this first section.
