The Forward WIP accessories brand specialises in protectors of all kinds, but its product range also includes neoprene and harnesses. TPE Sport is now taking over distribution in Germany.

Forward WIP was founded in Switzerland in 2015 and specialises in innovative protective equipment for water sports enthusiasts. The products are now available in Germany via TPE Sport, which also distributes brands such as Quatro, Goya, MFC and S2Maui.

Forward WIP products include wetsuits with integrated protectors, water sports helmets, impact protection waistcoats and much more. Such protectors and protective equipment are particularly useful in the foil sector.

Forward WIP works with Björn and LIam Dunkerbeck, among others, but is also represented in the America's Cup and other sailing disciplines. "Forward WIP is made up of professional sailors, engineers, designers and supply specialists. And they are all dedicated to water sports, training and racing whenever possible in order to constantly test new ideas," reads a press release.

Tobi is our digital man, he looks after the surf website and social media channels and gets on everyone's nerves every morning by asking for more pictures and videos. His surfing CV includes all the famous choppy water spots: As a teenager, he went from his home in Münsterland to the Ijsselmeer or the Brouwersdam, and during his civilian service on Sylt, after countless washes on the west side, the Königshafen became his preferred spot. After studying in Kiel and Heidkate, he was supposed to go to Hamburg “only for a short time”, but this short time has lasted for over ten years and has made him a “weekend warrior”. He goes on tour with his family and camper van as often as possible, often to the Baltic Sea, SPO or Denmark, but also likes to go to Finland, Sweden or Sardinia.
