In 2023, Choppy Water will support riders who take part in many or even all windsurfing cups. At the same time, the aim is to create planning security for the organisation and encourage participation in as many windsurfing cups as possible. That is why there is an attractive Season Pass cashback system this season:
Anyone who registers for the Windsurf Cups by the end of March will qualify for the Season Pass Cashback system. Windsurf Cuppers who take part in many or even all of the tour stops will then be refunded a portion of the entry fee paid by Choppy Water.
In total, the cashback sum for each participant adds up to 300 euros
"With the Season Pass Cashback, we want to reward the commitment of the riders who form the basis of the Windsurf Cup through their regular participation. The national top series thrives on broad participation. Riders who are also active in other areas, such as the PWA or iQFOiL, are motivated to take part in the DWC Tour. But weekend racers who simply want to compete for tonnes in the DWCs can also benefit from the cashback," says Matthias Regber from Choppy Water GmbH, which organises the Multivan Windsurf Cup.
According to Regber, the entry fee for the national Windsurf Cup events has been kept at the same level as in previous years despite the significant increase in costs. Registration will open shortly on the official DWC website www.windsurfcup.de is activated. For events where an international championship is taking place (Sylt, Borkum, Heiligenhafen), registration is handled as usual by the International Windsurfing Association (IWA).
This season, in addition to the open class, there is also a fin-only classification in the DWC, plus additional racing at selected events and, as always, the option of a "wave alarm" if the conditions are right.
In addition to the Season Pass cashback, there is also support for young people with travel costs to the island events. More here
